a 22 isn't going to kill a fucking possum, you dork,
unless you are either:

1) a great shot -- hitting it in the eye

2) filling it full of bullets

when reading this post I thought to myself, "that's not how 'possum' is spelled...I was sure there was an 'o' before the word...so I looked it up...for some reason the results saddend me...

6 entries found for possum.
pos?sum ?? (?P?)??Pronunciation Key??(psm)
n. Chiefly Southern U.S.

An opossum.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Short for opossum.]

Regional Note: Since English is a language that stresses some syllables and not others, weakly stressed syllables, especially those preceding strong stresses, are dropped at times. This process, called aphesis when it occurs at the beginning of a word, is more common in regional American dialects than in the more conservative Standard English, which tends to retain in pronunciation anything reflected in spelling. Although many American dialects feature aphesis, it is most famous in the dialects of the South, where it yields pronunciations such as count of for (on) account of, tater for potato, possum for opossum, and skeeter for mosquito.

that last part is what did it...

nah... you didn't offend anyone....
i knew there was an 'o' at the front...
but when i was posting this, i remember one time
i believe i was talking about possums (or maybe
it was someone else) and i put the 'o' on the
front and it was mentioned... no biggie.
